KAIROS Dance Theater presents the premiere of “HER”, an evening-length contemporary dance production that explores the experiences of women and girls of all ages. This narrative journey weaves together powerful, multi-sensory images depicting aggression, bullying, friendship, love, conformity, identity, and isolation; and inquires into how women relate to each other and their world.
Featuring young dancers and community members of all ages as well as the core company of KAIROS dancers, “HER” explores what happens to the inner, emotional “girl” in all of us as we grow up and navigate our relationships.
“HER” features set and lighting design by Lynda Rieman; digital projections by Alison Kotin; and original costumes by Carlos Villamil. The Friday, October 17th performance will be followed by a post-show Q & A led by Boston dance critic Debra Cash.
